Agricultural Funding Opportunities
The Owens Valley Indian Water Commission has funding from the Native American Agriculture Fund to promote and enhance sustainable agriculture in Payahuunadü. Building strong partnerships within communities is central to tribal food security. When communities cultivate, harvest, process and prepare native foods, they are rebuilding a relationship with the land and celebrating cultural identity.

Youth 4H and Future Farmers of America Grant
2024 Youth 4H & FFA Grant
Food Sovereignty Grant
Individual tribal members from or residing in the greater Owens Valley area are eligible for OVWIC Food Sovereignty Grants to produce food for personal family use. Grants of up to $1,500 are available, and funding applications are accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis. Examples of funding include hoop houses, gardens, supplies, and chicken coops. Agricultural Business Assistance Grant
Individual tribal members from or residing in the greater Owens Valley area are eligible for OVWIC Agricultural Assistance Grants to establish or enhance local agriculture-related tribal businesses. Regrants of up to $5,000 are available, and funding applications are accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis. Click the application materials below for more details.
